Nicola & Brian’s Wedding at Milling Barn

From Oak Barn vows to dancing at Milling Barn.

Nicola & Brian’s wedding day took place at Milling Barn, a classic Hertfordshire barn venue with plenty of character and space to let the day unfold naturally. From getting ready on site and a ceremony in the 17th-century Oak Barn, to indoor festival games, heartfelt speeches, relaxed couple portraits on the lane, and a lively evening on the dance floor, their day was warm, fun, and full of genuine moments.

The Wedding Day

Nicola and Brian’s wedding at Milling Barn, Bluntswood Hall was a fantastic event filled with beautiful moments and memories. The venue, Milling Barn, is a stunning Hertfordshire barn wedding venue that offers a unique blend of rustic charm and elegance. The 17th-century oak barn provided the perfect setting for the ceremony, and the Dairy Barn was the perfect location for the reception.

The day began with Nicola getting ready at the venue, surrounded by her closest friends. The ceremony was held in the 17th-century Oak Barn, a beautiful room for a wedding ceremony. The couple exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones.

The reception was held in the Dairy Barn, where guests enjoyed playing festival-style games which were hired from ‘Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire.’ Unfortunately, all the games were held inside the barn as the weather forecast was pretty bad for the day, but it did not dampen the spirits of the guests and they still had a great time.

The wedding breakfast was followed by speeches by the father of the bride and the groom. The speeches were heartfelt, and it was clear that both Nicola and Brian were surrounded by people who loved and supported them.

After the speeches, I took couple portraits of the newlyweds on the lane leading up to the venue. The rustic charm of the venue provided the perfect backdrop for some beautiful shots.

The evening was spent dancing away to a band, and everybody had a great time. The atmosphere was lively, and it was clear that the couple had a great time celebrating with their loved ones. Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable wedding, and I was honored to capture these special moments for Nicola and Brian. Milling Barn, Bluntswood Hall was the perfect Hertfordshire wedding venue for their big day, and it provided the perfect setting for the couple and their guests to celebrate.

The lane leading up to the venue is a favourite for relaxed portraits, along with quieter spots around the barns if time allows.

I keep them efficient and well organised so guests aren’t waiting around and can get back to enjoying the day.
