Sophie & Alex’s Wedding at The Priory in Little Wymondley
Vintage transport, barn speeches, and an energetic evening party
Sophie & Alex’s wedding day began with a church ceremony at St Ippolyts Church, before everyone travelled together to The Priory in Little Wymondley for a relaxed barn celebration. From bridal prep at Sophie’s parents’ house and a vintage double-decker bus arrival, to a warm receiving line outside the church, garden drinks, emotional speeches in the barn, and a lively evening party, their day was full of genuine moments and brilliant energy.

The Wedding Day
Sophie and Alex’s wedding was an absolute joy to photograph. The day began with me capturing the bride prep at Sophie’s parents’ house, which was a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Sophie and her bridesmaids travelled to the wedding in a vintage double decker bus, which added a lovely touch of nostalgia to the day.
The ceremony at St Ippolyts Church was a beautiful service, and the receiving line outside the church was a lovely moment to capture. The bride and groom and their parents had the opportunity to greet all their guests, and there were lots of hugs of congratulations.
Following the ceremony, I took group portraits at the front of the church and then a confetti shot of the couple as they made their way to the lychgate. I took a few portraits of the couple as all their guests made their way onto the bus, and then I joined everyone on the bus for the short journey to The Priory in Little Wymondley.
On arrival, I took a group shot of the bride and groom with all their guests with the double-decker bus as a backdrop. Guests enjoyed drinks in the garden during the reception, and the barn was beautifully decorated for the wedding breakfast, which was served in the barn. The speeches between courses were heartfelt and moving, and I was happy to capture everyone’s reactions.
As the evening approached, the dance floor was packed, and the atmosphere was electric. It was an incredible celebration of love, and I was honoured to be a part of it.
The Priory in Little Wymondley was a stunning location for the wedding reception, and it added to the overall magic of the day.
