Rebecca & Will’s Wedding at Stowe House

Morning Bride Prep

The day began at Rebecca’s parents’ home in Milton Keynes where Rebecca was getting ready surrounded by her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of excitement as the final preparations came together.

One of the loveliest moments from the morning was Rebecca’s first look with her bridesmaids. Their reactions were full of smiles and emotion. Before leaving for the ceremony, Rebecca and her family gathered together, held hands and shared a quiet prayer. It was a really meaningful moment that set the tone for the day ahead.

Will Welcomes Guests at Buckingham Parish Church

When I arrived at Buckingham Parish Church, Will was already outside greeting guests as they arrived. The church sits right in the heart of Buckingham and quickly filled with family and friends ready to celebrate with them.

A Joyful Church Ceremony

The ceremony was warm, heartfelt and full of smiles. One of the couple’s friends performed during the service, singing and playing guitar which added a really personal touch.

Throughout the ceremony there were lots of happy glances between Rebecca and Will and plenty of emotion in the room as they said their vows.

Wind Swept Confetti Outside the Church

As soon as Rebecca and Will stepped outside the church the confetti began flying. It was an incredibly windy day and the white confetti blew straight towards me as it was thrown, creating a brilliant burst of movement in the photographs.

Congratulations and Drinks Outside the Church

After the confetti guests stayed outside the church chatting, congratulating the newlyweds and enjoying the spring sunshine. Drinks were handed out and the atmosphere felt relaxed and celebratory.

We also took a few quick family portraits at the church entrance while everyone was gathered together.

Departure from the Church

Once everyone was ready, guests gathered by the church gates to cheer Rebecca and Will as they left in a convertible Mercedes. It was a brilliant send off before heading to the reception at Stowe.

Arriving at Stowe House

When we arrived at Stowe House, Rebecca and Will had a tray of food waiting for them before we jumped straight onto a golf buggy to explore the grounds for portraits.

Stowe offers some of the most spectacular landscapes for wedding photography and it is always exciting to head out across the gardens.

Portraits Around the Stowe Gardens

Our first stop was the Temple of Ancient Virtue, followed by the Temple of British Worthies where we captured a reflection image across the lake.

We also visited the famous Palladian Bridge which holds special memories for Rebecca. She used to play poo sticks there as a child which made the location even more meaningful.

I also photographed Rebecca and Will across Octagon Lake with Stowe House framed beautifully in the background.

Group Photos with the Stowe Gardens Behind

Back nearer the house we gathered family and the bridal party for group photos with views of the gardens stretching out behind them.

The State Dining Room at Stowe House

The wedding breakfast was held in The State Dining Room, one of the most breathtaking rooms in Stowe House. The colourful paintings, ornate gilding and incredible scale of the room make it an unforgettable setting.

The tables were decorated with beautiful florals and each guest had a place setting featuring their name painted onto a large oyster shell which looked fantastic.

A High Energy Entrance into the State Dining Room

Rebecca and Will were welcomed into the room with high fives from their guests as they made their way to the top table. A prayer followed before the meal began.

I also took a few portraits of the couple holding their personalised oyster shell place settings.

Emotional and Heartfelt Speeches

Speeches followed from the father of the bride, the father of the groom, Will’s brother who was the best man, and finally Will himself. There was a lovely balance of humour and emotion with plenty of reactions across the room.

Candid Moments During the Wedding Breakfast

During the meal Rebecca and Will spent time moving around the room chatting with their guests. These moments always produce some of the most natural photographs as people relax and enjoy the celebrations.

Cake Cutting and First Dance in the Temple Room

The evening celebrations moved into The Temple Room where Rebecca and Will cut their cake before sharing their first dance together.

Golden Hour Portraits on the Lawn

As the sun began to drop we stepped outside for a few portraits on the lawn during golden hour. The soft evening light and the scale of Stowe House behind them created a beautiful setting.

Evening Party in the Temple Room

Back inside the Temple Room the party was well underway with guests filling the dance floor and celebrating together.

Champagne Spray on the North Portico

To finish the evening we stepped outside to the North Portico where Rebecca and Will celebrated with a champagne spray photo. It was a brilliant and energetic way to end the day.

Rebecca and Will’s wedding day was full of emotion, laughter and unforgettable moments. From the heartfelt ceremony at Buckingham Parish Church to the incredible surroundings of Stowe House, it was a joy to capture every part of their celebration.
