Johanna & Andeep’s Wedding at South Farm

Umbrella portraits, surprise moments, and a ceilidh-filled evening

with the weather doing its best to make things interesting. From umbrella portraits around the farm’s most characterful spots, to a surprise clean-shaven reveal before the confetti, heartfelt speeches, and a ceilidh that filled the dance floor, their day was relaxed, memorable, and packed with genuine moments.

If you’re planning your own day at South Farm, you might find my South Farm wedding photographer page helpful. It covers photo spots, ceremony spaces, timings, and a wet weather plan.

As a South Farm wedding photographer, I love how well the venue works in all conditions. There’s always a great option nearby, so you can keep things relaxed and still get a really varied set of photos.

The Wedding Day

Upon arrival at South Farm, it was raining lightly, but the forecast for the day meant the rain was only going to get worse, so we took an umbrella and brave the rain and take portraits around the grounds. South Farm is one of my favourite wedding venues as it has fantastic locations for lovely wedding photos. We took portraits at the Romany Caravans, pond and tree-lined driveway and then worked through Johanna and Andeep’s list of group shots.

As a Sikh male, Andeep is expected to remain unshaven, so he had been growing his beard specifically for the wedding. During the reception, Andeep dissappeard off to his room, reappearing ready for a confetti shot and to everyone’s surprise, he was clean-shaven!

After the confetti shot, it was time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches. Speeches were given by Johanna’s two bridesmaids, Andeep and his best man.

Johanna and Andeep had booked a Ceilidh band for the evening entertainment.

Many congratulations to Johanna and Andeep!

FAQs

Yes. South Farm is one of my favourite venues and I know the layout, portrait spots, and how to work with the changing light and weather.

Popular spots include the Romany caravans, the pond, the driveway, and quieter corners of the grounds, usually without taking you away from guests for long.

Yes. Most couples book around 10 hours, which usually covers speeches and plenty of evening atmosphere. Extra hours can be added if you’d like me to stay later.
