Introducing Shendish Manor

Hinal and Cosmin’s wedding reception took place at the beautiful Shendish Manor in Hertfordshire. Set within landscaped grounds and a historic Manor House, it’s a venue that works perfectly for relaxed, elegant receptions.

Before guests arrived, I captured a few exterior images of the venue and a personalised sign welcoming guests to Hinal and Cosmin’s celebrations.

Bridal preparations in the Bridal Suite

Coverage began with bridal prep in the Bridal Suite at Shendish Manor. It was a relaxed, happy morning as Hinal got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, with excitement building as the final touches came together.

Group portraits in the grounds

Once preparations were complete, we headed outside into the grounds for group portraits with immediate family. The gardens provided a calm space to capture these important photos without rushing.

After the group photos, we took a few quick couple portraits around the grounds. Making the most of this quieter moment gave us some relaxed, natural images before the majority of the guests arrived.

As guests gathered inside the Manor House, there was a real sense of anticipation building. Soon after, Hinal and Cosmin made their way down the grand staircase to cheers and applause, creating a brilliant, energetic start to the reception.

While guests settled in, magician Gary Schiffman entertained everyone, adding a fun and interactive element to the start of the celebrations.

We then headed back outside for a colourful confetti moment, full of smiles, laughter, and congratulations as guests celebrated with the newlyweds.

After the confetti, we captured a large group photo with all the guests in the Apsley Suite Gardens, a great way to photograph everyone together before the meal.

Before guests were seated, the Apsley Suite had been beautifully decorated and set for the wedding breakfast. I captured a few images of the room dressed and ready before it filled with guests.

The reception meal began with the cake cutting on the dancefloor, before everyone took their seats. Toastmaster Jango kept everything running smoothly, ensuring the afternoon flowed effortlessly.

Speeches and heartfelt moments

The speeches followed, bringing together laughter, stories, and a few emotional moments that reflected the love and support surrounding Hinal and Cosmin.

Evening portraits at the gazebo

Between courses, we slipped outside for some after-dark portraits at the gazebo. I lit the gazebo and the couple using flashes to create romantic night time images.

First dance

The evening celebrations began with the first dance, beautifully sung by the bride’s niece, a personal and memorable moment.

From there, the dancefloor quickly filled as guests celebrated late into the night, bringing the day to a perfect close.
