Aleeza & Hanif’s wedding took place on a hot summer day at Shendish Manor, with an outdoor ceremony at the gazebo followed by a lively evening reception in the Apsley Suite. From prep in the bridal suite, bubbles at the end of the ceremony, relaxed group photos in the gardens, and a packed dance floor, their day flowed naturally from start to finish.

The Wedding Day
It was an absolute honor to be the photographer for Aleeza and Hanif’s wedding at Shendish Manor Hotel in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. This stunning venue was the perfect backdrop for their special day and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
As the bride, Aleeza, got ready in the bridal suite with her mum and sister, the groom, Hanif, was preparing with his groomsmen in another room. This allowed me to capture a few shots of both bride and groom preparations, which was a great start to the day.
The wedding ceremony was held outside at the Gazebo and it was a beautiful and intimate setting. The scorching hot day made it a little uncomfortable for guests, but they made the best of it by using umbrellas for shade and fanning themselves. Aleeza walked down the aisle with her parents, and the end of the ceremony was a highlight for me as guests filled the air with blowing bubbles and the bride and groom walked down the aisle together. I highly recommend using bubbles if you’re having an outdoor ceremony – it made for some amazing photos!
After the ceremony, I took a group shot of the bride and groom with all their guests, followed by a confetti shot, and then worked through a list of family and friends group shots. The bride and groom then went back to their rooms to change into their evening attire, and I took a few portraits in the Apsley Suite Garden.
The evening reception was held in the Apsley Suite and was an incredible celebration filled with laughter, dancing, and lots of love. One of the highlights of the night was a dance performance led by three children that progressed into a larger group and ended with the bride and groom joining in and showing off their dance moves. The dance floor was packed all night, but I was able to whisk the couple away for a final set of portraits in the Manor House Garden, including a beautiful silhouette shot under the gazebo.
