The Wedding Day

Dana and Philip chose The Knightsbridge Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall for their civil ceremony, a perfect choice for its elegance and intimate setting. This room, accommodating up to 30 seated guests, provided a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere for their small intimate wedding.

I started the day by photographing Philip as he warmly welcomed guests to the town hall. The excitement was palpable as he greeted friends and family, setting the tone for the heartfelt ceremony to come. Once everyone was ready, Philip and the guests made their way to The Knightsbridge Room.

Dana arrived in a classic black cab, accompanied by her parents. I captured her arrival. We took some beautiful portraits outside the main door, with the grand architecture of Old Marylebone Town Hall serving as a stunning backdrop.

The ceremony itself was a lovely and intimate affair. One of the unique and touching moments was when the couple’s wedding rings were passed around the room, allowing each guest to bless them. Dana’s young nephew served as the ring bearer, handling his important role with grace and charm.

After the ceremony, we had a brief but productive session for portraits inside Old Marylebone Town Hall. The elegant staircase and corridors provided perfect settings for timeless photos. We then moved outside for a joyful confetti throw and group shots with the couple’s family, capturing the happiness and celebration of the day.

Before heading to the reception, I took the bride and groom on a short detour to capture additional portraits on the charming streets behind the town hall. The timing was perfect as the sun graced us with a lovely sunny spell, adding a warm glow to the couple’s photos.

The reception took place in a private room upstairs at The Portman pub, a cozy and intimate space ideal for their celebration. The atmosphere was filled with love and laughter as Philip and Dana’s sister delivered heartfelt speeches, adding personal touches to the festivities.
