Sally & Michael’s wedding day began at No.4 Hamilton Place with bride prep. Sally shared some special moments with her sister as they prepared for the day ahead. One of my favourite shots from the morning was when Sally greeted her gran; capturing the emotions on her grandmother’s face was truly heartwarming. I also loved the series of images of Sally as she carefully put on her earrings, framed beautifully in the mirror.

The morning continued with the lively tradition of Chinese door games. Chinese door games are a playful and symbolic tradition where the groom must overcome challenges and sometimes bribes to prove his worthiness before he is allowed to see his bride. Michael had to bribe Sally’s sister to gain access through the first door. Once inside, the fun really began. His first task was a test of hand-eye coordination, where he had to bounce a ping pong ball continuously on a table tennis bat. Then, Michael and his three brothers had to follow a dance routine streamed from a YouTube video on a laptop. Watching them all dance in sync was both hilarious and heartwarming, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

After successfully completing the challenges, Sally entered the room, and the couple shared a beautiful first look before beginning the Chinese tea ceremony. The tea ceremony is a deeply meaningful Chinese tradition where the bride and groom serve tea to their elders as a sign of respect and gratitude. One of my favourite photos from the day captured the moment Sally offered a cup of tea to her gran, a beautiful blend of generations and traditions.

Following the tea ceremony, guests gathered for a short reception on the terrace of No.4 Hamilton Place. The atmosphere was filled with hugs, laughter, and the joy of friends and family coming together to celebrate Sally & Michael’s love.

Afterwards, Sally changed into her wedding dress, and the couple boarded a classic London wedding bus, heading to Old Marylebone Town Hall for their civil ceremony in The Westminster Room. The ceremony was intimate and touching, and afterwards, we stepped outside for confetti on the iconic steps, followed by family group portraits. We then returned to No.4 Hamilton Place on the wedding bus to continue the celebrations.

Guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace before we took some beautiful portraits of the newlyweds. The wedding breakfast followed, with heartfelt speeches delivered by Michael, Sally’s sister, Michael’s mum, and Sally herself.

Later in the evening, we created some dramatic portraits on the elegant staircase at No.4 Hamilton Place, using off-camera flash to add a creative touch to their wedding gallery. The night concluded with an energetic party on the dancefloor, with live music provided by the fantastic wedding band The Frankie Funtimes, ensuring the celebrations continued long into the night.

Sally & Michael’s wedding at No.4 Hamilton Place was a perfect mix of tradition, laughter, and love, and it was a privilege to capture every special moment of their incredible day.
