The Wedding Day

Morning preparations at The Cherry Tree Hotel

The day began at The Cherry Tree Hotel in Chinnor, where Abi got ready with her bridesmaids. Hair and makeup were taken care of by Lauren Cohen, and the atmosphere was calm and full of anticipation. One of the most emotional moments of the morning was Abi’s father-daughter reveal, capturing his reaction as he saw her in her dress for the first time.

Meanwhile, Rich was also getting ready at the hotel with his groomsmen. I captured relaxed moments as they pinned on buttonholes, shared a drink, and enjoyed a quiet moment together before heading to the venue.

Arriving at Notley Tythe Barn

We then made our way to Notley Tythe Barn, a lovely venue with a fantastic team who helped ensure the day ran smoothly. Abi arrived with her bridesmaids, and I photographed them as they walked towards the on-site preparation room to hide away before the ceremony.

A heartfelt ceremony inside the barn

The ceremony took place inside the beautiful barn and included personal readings from Abi’s aunt and Rich’s brother. The atmosphere was warm and emotional as Abi and Rich exchanged their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.

A bubble send-off instead of confetti

As confetti isn’t allowed at Notley Tythe Barn, guests lined the path armed with bubbles instead. It created a magical moment as Abi and Rich walked through a cloud of bubbles, with Abi’s long veil catching the breeze beautifully.

Candids

After plenty of hugs and congratulations, we moved into group photos before guests enjoyed outdoor games including crazy golf and cornhole. Abi and Rich also took some time for couple portraits around the grounds, with the Dove Cote providing a charming rustic backdrop for a few extra images.

Wedding breakfast and speeches

The speeches took place between courses during the wedding breakfast. Abi’s father, Rich, and the best man all delivered speeches filled with emotion and laughter, creating wonderful reactions from both the couple and their guests.

Evening light and couple portraits

As the sun began to set, we captured a few more portraits, making the most of the soft evening light around the venue.

More Games

The evening celebrations began with Abi and Rich’s first dance, kicking off a brilliant night on the dance floor. With inflatable props, plenty of enthusiastic dancing, and a packed floor all night, the energy stayed high throughout.

  • The photos are amazing and captured every moment

Andy was an amazing photographer for our wedding in August. Both my husband and I hate having our picture taken, so we asked to spend as little time as possible on formal photos, but still wanted loads of candid moments. Andy nailed it and made us feel completely at ease throughout the day.

The photos are amazing and captured every moment so candidly and thoughtfully. We couldn’t have asked for more, perfect in every way. If you want a candid, documentary-style photographer, Andy is the perfect person.
