Ciara & Luke’s Wedding at Deer Park Country House

Outdoor garden ceremony, Orangery speeches, and a packed dance floor

Ciara & Luke’s wedding took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend at Deer Park Country House, with an outdoor ceremony in the Secret Garden followed by celebrations across the gardens and Orangery. From morning prep in Exeter, to live music during the ceremony, drinks in the Italian Gardens, relaxed portraits in the evening light, and a packed dance floor to finish, their day had a brilliant mix of atmosphere, emotion, and energy.

If you’re looking for natural, relaxed photography that fits around the day, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.

The Wedding Day

My coverage began with bride prep at Ciara’s sister’s house in Exeter, where Ciara had her hair and makeup done by Debbie Wright. It was a calm and excited start to the day before heading to Deer Park Country House.

Ciara and Luke chose an outdoor ceremony in the Secret Garden, a beautiful and intimate setting. The ceremony began with one of Ciara’s friends performing a song written especially for the occasion as Ciara and her bridal party walked down the aisle. The ceremony itself was full of beaming smiles and genuine emotion.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks in the Italian Gardens before moving into the Georgian Orangery for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

Following the meal, I took Ciara and Luke for a short walk around the gardens for relaxed portraits while guests enjoyed the long evening, playing garden games and posing at the selfie frame.

Evening celebrations were kicked off by Captain Atlantic, who filled the dance floor and kept the energy high right through the night.

  • Knew we wanted Andy from the moment we got engaged

We’d seen Andy photograph another wedding, and as soon as we got engaged we knew we wanted him, based on what we’d seen and the photos he produced.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice. Our experience leading up to the wedding, the day itself, and the contact afterwards has been nothing short of excellent.

Andy really does go above and beyond to get the best photos. He captured us and every single guest in natural, candid shots, and it’s been a joy to relive the day through them. He captured everything, from preparations and the decorations we made ourselves, to the venue, candid shots, and formal shots. He also scoped out the best backdrops and worked with us in such a natural way.

We had so many comments from guests about how great Andy was on the day, and about the photos they’ve seen since. We honestly can’t recommend Andy Sidders Photography enough to anyone considering a photographer for their big day.
