As a Bigstrup Farm Wedding Photographer, I had the joy of capturing Elga and Ross’s beautiful wedding at Bigstrup Farm, a picturesque venue nestled in Dinton, Buckinghamshire. Their wedding, set on a sunny weekend in September, was a delightful blend of rustic charm and joyful celebration.

My photographic journey began with capturing Ross as he prepared for his big day, assisted by his two best men. These moments were filled with laughter and camaraderie, setting a lively tone for the day. I then moved on to document Ross welcoming his guests to the venue. The air was electric with excitement, and the hugs and happy faces of the guests were a pleasure to photograph.

Elga’s grand arrival with her father in a classic 1937 Rolls Royce was a moment of timeless elegance. I captured a ‘first look’ photo of them before the ceremony in the beautiful gardens of Bigstrup Farm, a perfect setting for such a grand entrance.

The ceremony itself was set against the stunning backdrop of the countryside. The gardens of Bigstrup Farm provided a scenic and serene atmosphere. My favorite photographs were those capturing Ross and Elga walking back down the aisle, surrounded by a flurry of confetti – moments of pure joy and celebration.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a brief drive in their Rolls Royce wedding car, allowing for some intimate moments together. Upon their return, I captured a series of portraits with the car, adding a touch of vintage glamour to their wedding album.

The reception was a lively affair. I focused on capturing documentary-style photos of the guests mingling, encapsulating the relaxed and joyful spirit of the day. The speeches, held in the charming barn, were heartfelt and humorous, perfectly complementing the rustic ambiance. Guests were then treated to a choice of BBQ or pizza for the wedding breakfast, catering to all tastes and adding a unique twist to the traditional wedding fare.

In the afternoon, the guests enjoyed a variety of garden games. These moments were not only fun to capture but also highlighted the laid-back and fun-filled atmosphere of Elga and Ross’s wedding.

As the evening set in, the barn transformed into a vibrant party space, with guests dancing the night away. The energy and happiness were infectious, making it a joyous end to a perfect day.
