Emilia & Nathanial’s wedding day began with a church ceremony at St Mary’s Church, before everyone headed to Lillibrooke Manor for a barn celebration filled with energy. From prep in the Manor House and Cottage Room, to confetti after the ceremony, candid moments in the Cloister Garden, speeches in the fairy-lit Great Barn, and a Scottish ceilidh that filled the dance floor, their day had a brilliant mix of warmth, humour, and atmosphere.

As a Lillibrooke Manor wedding photographer, I feel a special connection to this venue – it was the scene of my very first wedding shoot back in 2012. Returning to this gorgeous 15th-century manor house nestled in the heart of the English countryside always fills me with nostalgia.

On the morning of Emilia and Nathanial’s wedding, the Manor House buzzed with excitement. This was where Emilia was preparing with her bridesmaids and parents. She looked stunning in her Essence of Australia wedding dress.

Not too far away, in the Cottage Room, Nathanial, his dad, and brothers were also getting ready. Capturing their wedding day jitters and excitement was great fun.

Soon, it was time to head to St Mary’s Church in Wargrave for the ceremony. Inside, Nathanial waited nervously with his brothers. The ceremony was filled with laughter and joy, especially during the exchange of rings.

After the ceremony, guests gathered outside for a colourful confetti shower.

The guests then journeyed to Lillibrooke Manor, where I captured some stunning shots of Emilia and Nathanial against the backdrop of the Manor. During the reception the guests mingled in the Cloister Garden and Small Barn while I took candid photos – these genuine, unposed moments are often the most precious.

The Great Barn, lit by fairy lights, hosted the wedding breakfast. Speeches by the father of the bride, the groom, and his best man filled the room with laughter.

After the speeches, we took a brief stroll for some more relaxed portraits, followed by candid shots of the guests, including Nathanial and his friends enjoying a cigar celebration.

The evening celebrations kicked off with the couple slicing into their quirky caterpillar cakes, followed by their first dance. The barn soon echoed with laughter and foot-tapping music as Emilia’s bridesmaid called out steps for a Scottish ceilidh dance.
