Natalie & Craig’s Wedding at La Centenaria 1779

An outdoor garden ceremony and relaxed destination wedding near Barcelona

Natalie and Craig chose to celebrate their wedding with a destination celebration at La Centenaria 1779, just outside Barcelona, a city they both love. Set among pine trees and historic architecture, their wedding blended a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere with personal, meaningful moments shared with close friends and family.

The Wedding Day

Natalie and Craig’s wedding took place at La Centenaria 1779, formerly known as Masia Ribas, a stunning historic venue set just outside Barcelona. The ceremony was held outdoors in the gardens, shaded by tall pine trees, creating a calm and intimate setting for their vows.

The day carried a subtle A Midsummer Night’s Dream theme, which was beautifully woven into the ceremony. One of the most meaningful moments was when Natalie and Craig, together with their daughter, poured coloured powders into a bottle to create a symbolic “love potion”, representing the joining of their family.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cava and canapé reception in the gardens. During this time, friends and family were entertained by a flamenco guitarist, which added a wonderful sense of place and atmosphere to the afternoon.

The celebration continued into the evening with dinner, followed by one of the most entertaining parts of the day, The Shoe Game. Sitting back-to-back, Natalie and Craig answered a series of questions about their relationship by holding up either the bride’s or groom’s shoe. The reactions were brilliant, full of laughter, and made for some fantastic candid photographs.

The entire day felt warm, joyful, and unhurried, perfectly suited to a destination wedding where the focus was on spending quality time together and enjoying the surroundings.

  • Beautiful family shots and creative detail photos

Andy’s professionalism on our wedding day was amazing, and his experience meant we genuinely enjoyed having our photos taken. The photo sessions didn’t take up too much time, so we could relax with our guests and didn’t feel like we were being dragged from one location to another.

The results speak for themselves: beautiful group and family shots that captured what our day was really about. We’re especially pleased with the detail shots, and we’d recommend Andy to any bride and groom who want a professional photographer with creative ideas.
