Zara & Philip’s Wedding at Banqueting House
City portraits, historic architecture, and an elegant London celebration
Zara & Philip’s wedding celebrations took place at Banqueting House, one of London’s most historic and visually striking venues. After marrying privately during the pandemic, this reception marked a long-awaited celebration with family and friends. From relaxed couple portraits around central London to an elegant evening of speeches, dining, and dancing inside Banqueting House, the day felt meaningful, celebratory, and full of atmosphere.

The Wedding Day
Zara and Philip’s wedding reception at Banqueting House in London was a truly magnificent affair. The couple had originally planned to get married in 2020, but the Pandemic cancelled their plans. They did, however, still get married close to their original date, and this reception was a celebration of their union, two years later.
The Banqueting House is a historic building located in Whitehall, London. The Banqueting House building was completed in 1622. The building is famous for its magnificent architecture and its association with some of the most significant events in British history.
As a wedding photographer, I was excited to photograph Zara and Philip’s reception at such a historically significant venue. The coverage started at St James Park where I met the couple for couple portraits. It was a busy summer day in London, so the park was incredibly busy, but I was able to take some beautiful portraits of the couple in the park and on The Mall with Buckingham Palace in the backdrop.
We then head back towards the venue, taking portraits close to Horse Guards Parade with the London Eye in the background.
On arrival back at Banqueting House, the celebrations soon began. My second photographer captured guests arriving and mingling in the Undercroft while I took group photos in The Main Hall.
The bride and groom made a grand entrance before an evening filled with speeches and readings from family members and friends of the couple.
Following a lovely meal I took portraits of Zara and Philip on the stairs and in the Undercroft and later outside on the London streets at night. The evening was filled with laughter, love, and dance, and it was great fun to capture.
Overall, Zara and Philip’s wedding reception at Banqueting House in London was a beautiful and unique event. The venue’s rich history and stunning architecture made for the perfect backdrop for the couple’s celebrations.
