Tewinbury Wedding Photography – Vicky & John

Vicky and John tied the knot on a rather wet day in early June at Tewinbury.

The forecast was for rain all day so I had packed my rain jacket and brolly and expected the worst!

My coverage of the day started with bride prep at Tewinbury in the Jersey Royal room in the Potato Shed. Vicky had her hair and makeup done and then along with her Dad and bridesmaids we made a run to the Tythe Barn under the cover of umbrellas for the start of the formalities.

The wedding ceremony took place in the stunning Tythe Barn. The ceremony was lovely, with a few misspoken words in the vows which led to a few giggles.
After the ceremony guests, Ed the magician entertained guests performing tricks while they enjoyed drinks.

Wedding breakfast was served in the Tythe Barn. The barn was beautifully decorated with Apple Blossom trees used as table centrepieces. John had created table numbers and a table plan out of Lego, which looked fantastic and helped put the couple’s personal touch on the day.

Thankfully, the weather wasn’t as bad as the forecast! During the meal, the rain stopped, so we jumped at the opportunity and head outside for a few portraits with the bride and groom.

The evening celebrations kicked off with the cutting of the cake and then the first dance.

Andy is a brilliant photographer and we couldn’t have wished for a better person to shoot our wedding. He was excellent.

We met Andy at a wedding show and from the minute we spoke to him; he made us feel at ease and happy to spend time with us discussing what there was on offer. Andy stood out from the rest with his candid photos that showed people in their natural environment and not all staged. We loved his work and booked him.

After we had booked Andy, he was professional and replied to questions quickly. He made us understand the packages fully before we made our decision and wasn’t pushy to make us spend more money. He worked with our budget and we couldn’t have asked for more.

We both thought that the pre-wedding shoot we had arranged was going to be awkward, but little did we know, Andy had scoped out the place we were going and so he could spend time with us as a couple to get to know us instead of working out where to have our pictures taken. We laughed so much our nerves had disappeared and the pictures were flawless.

On our wedding day, he captured the traditional shots of both Bride and Groom getting ready, but also some amazing natural shots of everyone involved in the big day. Throughout the entire day, he was faultless and captured some truly amazing photos of the ceremony as well as the fun had on the dance floor. He captured moments of our day that we will treasure forever and went beyond all of our expectations. There were so many comments from family and friends about how comfortable he made everyone feel.

We had some rain on our wedding day, yet one of our favourite pictures of the day is my wife, her father and bridesmaids walking towards the venue, all holding umbrellas. Andy managed to capture the fun and laughter of this moment, as well as the true beauty of my wife. Andy worked with the wedding coordinator to make sure that everything we had asked for and more was possible on our special day.

We received our wedding album just before Christmas, hand-delivered by Andy. Everything about the album was amazing. The presentation box, the USB and protective box were all matching, showing how much attention to detail Andy goes into.

We cannot recommend Andy highly enough and can not thank him enough for bringing our memories to life.
