Tara and Paul tied the knot in style with a festival themed wedding at Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire.
I was a second photographer for the day, assisting Milton Keynes wedding photographer, Andy Warner-Simpson.

My day started photographing Tara as she had her bridal hair and make-up done in the venue’s Dodford room.

I then took portraits of Paul and his grooms men. Paul and his grooms men were great fun and looked fantastic dressed in traditional top hat and tails. I was impressed to hear that Paul had crafted his own cane from a curtain pole the night before the wedding!

The civil ceremony took place in the Courtyard Barn. Not wanting to be outshone by his bride, Paul had planned to make an impressive entrance to the ceremony with a dance routine backed up by his grooms men. Unfortunately just before the ceremony the heavens opened for a brief downpour. But… the show must go on, so Paul continued as planned, so he, his grooms men and I (the poor photographer) all carried on regardless and got soaked! (Photos of this are in the slideshow below).

Tara made a more reserved entrance under an umbrella but looked stunning with the biggest smile on her face.

By the end of the ceremony the sun came out as the guests spilled out into the courtyard. After a few group photos on the courtyard stairs we then went for a walk around the venue to take some portraits of the couple.

Dodmoor House is a stunning wedding venue in Northamptonshire. It is a converted barn which has many photo opportunities for anyone looking for an intimate wedding venue.
One of my favourite photos from the day is of Tara and Paul walking down the path in-front of the main house hand in hand whilst looking into each others eyes.

Following our quick portrait session the wedding breakfast and entertainment began with guests treated to a BBQ buffet, bouncy castle, live music and a mechanical bull.

Tara and Paul were both absolute superstars! I had a fantastic time photographing their wedding, which was such a unique and fun wedding and would like to wish them the happiest of futures together!
