Katie & Mark had an intimate London wedding at Islington Town Hall in December.
It was third time lucky for Katie & Mark as their wedding had already been postponed twice due to COVID-19 restrictions earlier in the year.
The wedding was held under Tier 3, COVID-19 restrictions, so was limited to a maximum of 13 guests. However, Katie and Mark kept their wedding as intimate as possible with only Mark’s parents and sister in attendance.
The ceremony was held in Islington Town Hall’s Council Chamber and was my second wedding in the Council Chamber with COVID-19 restrictions in place.
Following the wedding ceremony, I took portraits of the newlyweds in the marbled corridors within the Town Hall and then head out onto the streets for a few more portraits.
One backdrop I love to use whenever I photograph an Islington Town Hall wedding is the bright red doors of Islington Fire Station. It is a great location for creative wedding photos. It’s always good fun photographing in front of the doors, as couples often receive a few beeps and cheers of congratulations from the passing traffic.
Many congratulations to Katie & Mark!
