Laura and Tom had a November wedding at Shendish Manor in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
My coverage of the wedding day began photographing Laura as she had her hair and makeup done in the Bridal Suite. During this time I took documentary-style photos of her getting ready and detail shots of her dress, shoes, jewellery and her gorgeous pink rose bouquet that had been created by Maples Flowers.
While I was busy photographing bride prep my second photographer took documentary photos of Tom as he helped decorate the Longman Suite ready for wedding breakfast. He also took some lovely portraits of Tom and his groomsmen before having some fun taking shots of the guys walking like the Ghostbusters!
The ceremony took place in the Dickinson Suite. It was a lovely ceremony with readings from the groomsmen and Laura’s brother. At the end of the ceremony, Laura and Tom were congratulated by all their guests and then we head outside for group shots of Laura and Tom with their family and friends including a group shot of all the guests.
Wedding breakfast was served in the Longman Suite and was followed by speeches.
The evening saw the cutting of the cake, the first dance and then lots of crazy dancing. The highlight for me was when Tom and his groomsman took over the dance floor as they danced away to a “Weird Al” Yankovic medley and had the room in stitches.
The wedding day was rounded off with everyone outside for a sparkler shot and was a great way to end my coverage of the wedding.
Many congratulations to Laura and Tom!
