Sam and Chris tied the knot at The Priory in Little Wymondley, in Hertfordshire. The Priory is a stunning barn wedding venue surrounded by landscaped grounds.
My coverage of the wedding day started at Sam and Chris’ house in Stevenage where I photographed bride-prep.
On arriving at the wedding venue I took a few individual portraits of Chris and then a shot of him together with his groomsmen and ring bearer.
Sam walked down the aisle together with her son, George. The ceremony was lovely with a reading by Sam’s eldest daughter, Jess. George joined Sam and Chris on stage for the exchange of rings.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception and were entertained by a guitarist and guests enjoyed ice cream cones. During the reception, I took a confetti shot and few formal group shots. I also took portraits of the couple around the gardens.
The barn was beautifully decorated for wedding breakfast. The wedding cake looked amazing, it had been baked and decorated by Chris and his brother.
After wedding breakfast. guests were entertained by the fantastic magician, Lee Smith. I love it when there is a magician at a wedding. They always give the opportunity for some fantastic fun, candid reaction shots. My favourite reactions came from the groom at the reveal at the end of one of the tricks.
The day was rounded off by the first dance and a performance by The Collective.
