Helen and James had a Fanhams Hall wedding in July 2018. Fanhams Hall is a manor house wedding venue in Ware, Hertfordshire. It was a scorching hot summer wedding with not a cloud in the sky.
My coverage of the wedding day began with Helen as she prepared for the day in the Royston Room. We made use of the large bay windows for a shot of Helen in her Sottero and Midgley wedding dress as her bridesmaids assisted with the finishing touches.
After the ceremony, guests mingled in the gardens and were all given white framed sunglasses that were used for a fun group shot of all Helen and James’ wedding guests. During the wedding reception, guests played outdoor games whilst I took group photos of the guests under the shade of a large Oak tree.
Planting a tree is a bit of a tradition for couples who wed at Fanhams Hall. So towards the end of the reception, Helen and James donned some gardening gloves and planted their tree, which is a lovely way to mark their wedding day. One of my favourite photos from the day is a shot of Helen and James as they hold up garden forks.
Wedding breakfast was served in The Great Hall. The Father of the bride, groom, and best man gave speeches.
After the wedding breakfast guests enjoyed the summer evening in the gardens with several going for short walks around the grounds. I made use of the evening light and took Helen and James for a short walk for a few more portraits in the grounds, including some by the Japanese gardens.
Congratulations Helen and James!
