“We could not believe the beautiful photos Andy captured for us”

“From the moment we approached Andy about our wedding, he made us feel so at ease and from that point onwards, he went above and beyond to capture our day in the most amazing way.

I know a lot of reviews say similar things but, truly, Andy really does go an extra mile to make you feel completely at ease. From walking for (what seemed like) hours on our pre-wedding shoot to braving the waves on the beach, there was not one moment missed.

Being photographed on one of the most special and emotional days of your life has the potential to cause some uncertainties and anxiety but never at any point of our wedding did Andy ever make us feel anything but comfortable. Even when the bride’s veil went missing 3 minutes before leaving, Andy never faulted in his calm, professional manner. His light-hearted approach and sense of humour was so much appreciated.

We could not believe the beautiful photos Andy captured for us. Every single time we look through them, we notice something else that we adore and another expression or emotion from our day.

The collection of Andy’s photos actually help you relive the day which we have delighted in doing today on our 1st Anniversary. We will treasure them forever thanks to Andy’s incredible visions and talent. Thank you, Andy, for making the whole process so easy and for providing us with the most special photos we could ever have imagined.”

Emma & Ryan

Emma & Ryan's Wedding at Woolacombe Bay Hotel

Emma and Ryan had a Woolacombe Bay Hotel wedding in early Spring. Woolacombe Bay Hotel is a stunning Devon wedding venue, which overlooks the beach. I had been looking forward to Emma and Ryan’s wedding ever since they booked. I had first met Emma when she was a bridesmaid at Cat and Ed’s wedding at Broadhaven Bay Hotel in Ireland. I knew the wedding would be great fun and knew that Emma wanted to have some portraits on the beach as she loved the ones I took at Cat and Ed’s wedding.

My coverage of the wedding day began with Emma and her bridesmaids as they got ready in the bridal suite. Emma was slightly nervous which wasn’t helped by a morning of heavy rain and a rather wet weather forecast for the remainder of the day. Fortunately, by the time, the wedding ceremony started the weather had improved, and there was a break in the rain!

The wedding ceremony took place in Doyle’s restaurant. It’s a lovely space for a wedding ceremony with its high ceilings, crystal chandeliers and full-length windows. It was a lovely ceremony. I loved both Emma and Ryan’s expressions as they greeted each other. It was a ceremony full of emotions!
After the ceremony as the weather had improved, everyone head outside for a confetti shot and then I took group portraits of Emma and Ryan’s family and friends at the front of the hotel. After all the group shots were done, I took Emma and Ryan away from their guests for a short while for a few portraits on the lawn in front of the hotel.

Wedding breakfast was served in The Ballroom. The room looked stunning! At the end of the dinner service, Emma’s mum and Aunt gave a joint speech, and Ryan followed with his speech and then the best men with their speech.

Before the first dance, there was enough time for a wander down to the beach with the bridal party. I love the shots of the bridal party and flower girl wandering down to the beach. One of my favourite shots is of If you have a Woolacombe Bay Hotel wedding you are very lucky to have such an amazing beach so easily accessible for wedding photos! I took some fun group shots by the rockpools and took some lovely couple shots of Emma and Ryan having a stroll on the sand.

The evening festivities were kicked off with the cutting the cake and then the first dance which was followed by a packed dance floor. Emma and Ryan had hired a photo booth to entertain guests; this went down great. The night was rounded off with all the guests outside for sparkler shots. It was a great wedding day!
