Jo and Steve tied the knot at The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. I was an emergency wedding photographer for the day. I assisted Kent based wedding photographer, Christopher Martin. We were both acting as cover for the day as the couple’s original photographer had unfortunately fallen ill.
Emergency Wedding Photographer
As a wedding photographer in the event of illness or an emergency, it is critical to be able to arrange suitable cover. My customers can be safe in the knowledge that if I was ever ill on the day of a wedding, I have a network of other experienced wedding photographers in place who I can call to provide cover of their day.
My coverage of the wedding day started with photographing Steve as he prepared for the big day together with his friends and son, Jack.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
It was a scorching hot summers day, so it was perfect for an outdoor ceremony.
The Dairy at Waddesdon is a stunning venue for outdoor wedding ceremonies. Jo and Steve’s wedding ceremony took place at the Lakeside Terrace.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the Inner Courtyard. A string quartet performed throughout the drinks reception. During this time my job as the second photographer for the day was to take reportage style wedding photos of the guests as they socialised to help document the day. I also took detail shots of the Lakeside Pavillion setup for wedding breakfast and the elegant-looking ruffled wedding cake.
The Groom and two of his friends gave speeches at the end of the wedding breakfast. Following the speeches, guests enjoyed the hot summers day having drinks by the lake.
The evening was topped off with a hog roast and the bride and groom’s first dance.
Congratulations Jo and Steve!
