Below is a selection of Missenden Abbey wedding photography from Jacqui and Marco’s wedding.
My day started photographing Jacqui as she prepared for the day in the bridal suite at Missenden Abbey. To start with I took detail shots of the wedding dress, ring, and Jacqui’s Jimmy Choo wedding shoes. I love the ring shot, taken on a gorgeous antique chest.
Jacqui did all her own hair and make-up and was joined by her niece who was flower girl for the day.
Jacqui walked down the aisle with her brother to the song “Stuck in The Middle With You” by Stealers Wheel. She was lead by her niece who ran straight down the aisle.
The ceremony took place in the Garden Room and was perfect for an intimate wedding. The highlight of the ceremony was Jacqui’s vowes which had all her guests giggling with laughter. “This is very grown up: getting married. Also very exciting!
I’m looking forward to spending the rest of our life together.
I know you will always be supportive, loving and kind.
I will do my best to do the same to you.
I will still cook for you and all our friends and family, but you will still have to do the washing up!”
Missenden Abbey is a medieval abbey with 10 acres of spectacular grounds located in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
The venue is licensed for civil weddings and partnerships. Ceremonies can be held in the Library or as Jacqui and Marco had chosen, the Garden Room.
After the ceremony guests head out onto the lawns for a champagne reception and were blessed with a sunny March afternoon. I took some documentary style shots of friends and family congratulating the couple. After this I took ten or so group portraits on the lawn before having a short portrait session with the bride and groom.
The grounds of Missenden Abbey are ideal for a portrait session, it features a magnificent cedar tree at the front of the house and has wonderful landscaped gardens.
I had a fantastic time as Jacqui and Marco’s Missenden Abbey wedding photographer and would like to wish them a long and happy marriage.
