My coverage of Abi and Jonny’s wedding started with Abi at the Rectory Cottage which is situated in the grounds of Hartwell House.
Abi was getting ready for the day along with her nine bridesmaids and flower girl. When everyone was ready the bridal party walked down to the front of Hartwell House to get on a Routemaster Bus which took them to the Church in Bierton.
The wedding ceremony took place in Saint James the Great Church. Abi and Jonny’s dog made an appearance and was walked down the aisle by Abi’s brother at the beginning of the processional.
After the ceremony, I took candid shots of the guest congratulating the couple before everyone made their way to the wedding reception at Creslow Manor.
The weather forecast for the day had been quite bad with heavy rain showers forecast throughout the day. Fortunately, when we arrived at Creslow Manor the sun was shining. So, we made the most of the weather and the Routemaster Bus to capture some lovely couple shots of the newlyweds.
Guests enjoyed the drinks reception in the grounds of the house. During this time, I took candid shots of the guests and a few group shots that the newlyweds had requested. I managed to complete the shot list just in time as the weather soon turned and everyone took cover in the marquee.
The marquee was beautifully decorated with lovely flowers, and a mixed theme, cycling for the groom and Roald Dahl literature for the bride. Guests enjoyed afternoon tea and then came the speeches given by the Father of the bride, Jonny and then his two best men.
Luckily the rain stopped briefly just before sunset, so all the guests joined me outside for one big group shot of everyone and then I took Abi and Jonny for a few more couple portraits. And then we head back inside for the first dance.
