Bex & Jon's Wedding at The Reid Rooms

Bex and Jon wed at the Reid Rooms in Essex. I was the second photographer for the day, assisting wedding photographer, Robin Ball.

As I was the second photographer, I started the day photographing Jon along with his best men as they prepared for the day while Robin shot Bex as she prepared for the day in the Bridal suite at the Reid Rooms.
It was great fun shooting Jon and was a very relaxed morning with time for a whisky to help mark the occasion. Jon travelled to the wedding venue in style in a Dodge Charger the hire of which was a gift from one of Jon's best-men.

After the ceremony, Robin took group photos of friends and family, so I was responsible for taking as many documentary style photographs during the drinks reception. I love this part of the day and enjoy capturing natural smiles and laughter as guests interact with each other.
I also had the job of taking detail shots in the beautifully decorated wedding breakfast room. Bex and Jon had the most delicious looking wedding cake a tiered Victoria sponge decorated with flowers, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.

Speeches were lovely. One of Bex and Jon's close friends was honoured with the role of being Father of the Bride for the day so not only did he have the duty of walking Bex down the aisle he also had the job of giving a speech which he delivered perfectly. Speeches were rounded off by a recording of a song written by the bride.

At sunset, we took the couple out for a few portraits around the gardens and grounds.

Congratulations Bex and Jon it was a pleasure to be part of your big day.
