Davina and Andrew's Pendley Manor Wedding

My coverage of Davina and Andrew's wedding began photographing bridal prep at Davina and Andrew's home in Borehamwood. Davina's four bridesmaids and one of her sisters joined her as she prepared for the day. I love the shots from Davina's bridal prep, one of my favourites is a shot of Davina taken from outside her kitchen window. The photo looks as though it is a double exposure as you see Davina smiling while having her makeup applied but you also see the reflection of foliage from trees in her garden.

Davina had hired a vintage Grand Prince Rolls Royce from Lord Cars to take her to the venue in Tring. I photographed her and her father as they set off in the car before heading to Pendley Manor in Tring myself.

Meanwhile, my second photographer provided coverage of Andrew as he relaxed with his best man and ushers at Pendley Manor. Andrew is a big Barnet F.C. fan so my second photographer made sure to capture detail shots of Andrew's Barnet cufflinks!

Pendley Manor - The Oak Room

Davina and Andrew's wedding ceremony took place in the Oak Room a beautifully decorated room licenced for civil ceremonies.
Davina looked stunning as she walked down the aisle. The Piano and Cello Duo played while Davina entered the room. I love being at weddings with live music it helps create a magical atmosphere.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom greeted their guests in the Peacock Lounge before heading outside for a confetti shot. I loved photographing Davina and Andrew as Davina was so expressive you can see the joy on her face. The confetti photos from Davina and Andrew's wedding show the bride having the time of her life.

Following the confetti shot Davina and Andrew had a little time for themselves and set off in their wedding car for a quick drive. On their return, we took group photos of the bride and groom together with their family and friends. I also took portraits of the bride and groom at the grounds of Pendley Manor.

Before guests sat down for wedding breakfast, I took one big group shot of all of Davina and Andrew's wedding guests stood on Pendley Manor's grand staircase.

Three wonderful and heartfelt speeches from the Father of the Bride, Groom and Bestman concluded wedding breakfast. The best man's speech was hilarious as he pointed out Andrew's remarkable resemblance to the actor and director Ron Howard.

After the wedding speeches, there was time for a few more portraits of the newlyweds on the staircase before the bride and groom head to the Simon Suite for the partying to begin!

Jewish wedding

Davina and Andrew entered the room to cheering and a stream of confetti and went straight into Jewish wedding dancing to Hava Nagila. I love photographing Jewish wedding dancing as it is great fun getting involved in the action and always creates fantastic photo opportunities with all the circling dancing and the Hora!

After the bride and groom had caught their breath, they cut their wedding cake using a sword. Before heading to the dance floor once again for their first dance to "At Last" by Etta James.

If you would like to see more photos of Davina and Andrew, you can view a blog post of their engagement shoot at Trent Country Park, or below you can view their Pendley Manor wedding slideshow set to the music of their first dance.

It was an absolute pleasure being Davina and Andrew's wedding photographer. They are a lovely couple, and I wish them many congratulations and wish all the best for their future together as Mr & Mrs!
