A selection of wedding photography from Kerry and Chris’s wedding at Trunkwell House in Reading, Berkshire.
I was hired for a half a day to provide wedding photography coverage of their wedding ceremony and reception at Trunkwell House in Reading.
My day started photographing the groom in the bar. I took portraits of Chris and his best man and then captured photos of him as he welcomed guests arriving for the wedding.
Kerry arrived together with her bridesmaids in a classic VW camper van. She looked stunning wearing a gorgeous dress from “Bride to Be” in Reading.
The wedding took place in the marquee, which was beautifully decorated.
Kerry was given away by her son, Kieron. The ceremony was lovely with a reading by Kerry’s sister which was a fairytale story of how Kerry and Chris met and fell in love.
After the ceremony, I took group photos of the guests at the front of the house. Meanwhile, the marquee was set up for the wedding breakfast. I also took bridal portraits of the newlyweds.
The Berkshire Bakesmith
The Marquee was beautifully decorated for wedding breakfast. At the center of the room was a 3-tier split cake, with Kerry’s half in a traditional style and Chris’s half featuring his three loves, Reading FC, Green Bay Packers and Newcastle United. Kerry is a professional cake maker (she runs her company, The Berkshire Bakesmith) so had made her own wedding cake for the big day, it looked delicious.
Guests were entertained while they were dining by the fantastic magician, Maximilian Curd. It was great fun watching him perform his magic. I enjoyed capturing people’s expressions as he performed his amazing tricks. If you are looking for entertainment for your wedding reception, I would highly recommend checking out Maximilian Magic!
Children were entertained during the reception with a bouncy castle, board games, giant connect four and face painting.
One of my highlights from the day was the speeches. Kerry’s son, Kieron who is just eight years old, delivered a confident and hilarious speech. He shared how Chris had become his best friend and finished with Kieron toasting the couple and downing a flute of lemonade pretending it was Champagne.
Congratulations Kerry & Chris, it was a pleasure being your Trunkwell House wedding photographer. I wish you a long and happy marriage!
