Johanna and Andeep’s Sikh wedding at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple in Bedford, followed by a South Farm wedding reception.
I was looking forward to Johanna and Andeep’s wedding as it was to be the first Sikh wedding that I had attended also the wedding reception was at South Farm which is one of my favourite wedding venues!
My coverage of the wedding began at the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple in Bedford for Johanna and Andeep’s intimate civil ceremony, with just Andeep’s best man and Johanna’s two bridesmaids as witnesses. After the civil ceremony, it was time for the Sikh wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony everyone head to South Farm for the wedding reception. Upon arrival at South Farm, it was raining lightly but the forecast for the day meant the rain was only going to get worse so we took an umbrella and brave the rain and take portraits around the grounds. South Farm is one of my favourite wedding venues as it has fantastic locations for lovely wedding photos. We took portraits at the Romany Caravans, pond and tree-lined driveway and then worked through Johanna and Andeep’s list of group shots.
As a Sikh male, Andeep is expected to remain unshaven, so he had been growing his beard specifically for the wedding. During the reception Andeep dissappeard off to his room, reappearing ready for a confetti shot and to everyone’s surprise he was clean-shaven!
After the confetti shot, it was time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches. Speeches were given by Johanna’s two bridesmaids, Andeep and his best man.
Johanna and Andeep had booked a Ceilidh band for the evening entertainment.
Many congratulations to Johanna and Andeep!
